After months of testing different mine counts on 1win's Mines game, I found that 1 mine on a 5x5 grid produces the most consistent results.

Why 1 Mine?

With 1 mine on 25 tiles: - First click safe: 96% chance - Two clicks safe: 92% chance - Five clicks safe: 80% chance - Ten clicks safe: 60% chance

But the multipliers are low (1.04x per click). So you need many clicks to make decent money.

The Strategy

Open 12 tiles with 1 mine. At 12 tiles: - Success rate: ~52% - Multiplier: ~1.65x - Expected value: 52% x 1.65 = 0.858 (negative, but barely)

Now compare with 3 mines, 3 clicks: - Success rate: ~55% - Multiplier: ~1.45x - Expected value: 55% x 1.45 = 0.798 (worse!)

The Key Difference

With 1 mine, your loss streak is shorter. You win more often, which means: - Less emotional damage from losses - More predictable session results - Easier bankroll management

My Test: 500 Rounds on 1win

1 mine, 12 clicks: - Won: 261 (52.2%) - Net result: -$18 from $500 wagered - Max drawdown: $65 - Session was VERY smooth

3 mines, 3 clicks: - Won: 278 (55.6%) - Net result: -$42 from $500 wagered - Max drawdown: $110 - Session was choppy

1 mine lost less money AND was more stable.

When to Use This

- When your bankroll is small - When you want consistent, predictable sessions - When you're grinding a bonus wagering requirement - When you just want to play without stress

It won't make you rich, but it's the safest way to play Mines.
