Baccarat seems intimidating but it's actually the simplest casino game. And it has one of the best odds for players.
The Three Bets
1. Banker — 1.06% house edge 2. Player — 1.24% house edge 3. Tie — 14.36% house edge
The choice is obvious: always bet Banker. The 5% commission on Banker wins is already factored into the 1.06% house edge.
Why Banker Wins More Often
Banker wins 45.86% of hands. Player wins 44.62%. Tie happens 9.52%. When you remove ties, Banker wins 50.68% of the time.
This small edge compounds over hundreds of hands.
My Baccarat System
1. Flat bet on Banker every hand 2. Bet 1% of bankroll per hand 3. Play 50 hands per session maximum 4. If up 20%+ of bankroll, stop 5. If down 15% of bankroll, stop
Results Over 1,000 Hands
- Banker bets: 1,000 - Wins: 459 (45.9%) - After 5% commission: net +12 units - Starting bankroll: $500 - Ending bankroll: $560 - ROI: +12%
Not exciting, but profitable. Baccarat is a marathon, not a sprint.
Never Do This
- NEVER bet Tie (14.36% house edge is terrible) - Don't use Martingale (table limits will get you) - Don't look for patterns (each hand is independent) - Don't switch between Banker and Player based on 'streaks'
