I've placed over 200 accumulators (parlays) in the last year. Here's what separates winners from losers.

Rule 1: Maximum 3 Selections

Every leg you add cuts your probability roughly in half: - 2 legs at 50% each: 25% chance - 3 legs: 12.5% - 4 legs: 6.25% - 5 legs: 3.125%

I never go above 3 legs for serious bets. My 4+ leg accas are just $5 fun bets.

Rule 2: Don't Mix Sports

Stick to one sport per accumulator. When you mix football with tennis with basketball, you're spreading your expertise thin. I only do football accas because that's what I know.

Rule 3: All Selections Must Be Value Independently

Don't add a leg just because 'it's a safe pick to boost odds.' Every selection should be a bet you'd place as a single. If you wouldn't bet on it alone, don't put it in your acca.

My Acca Record (Last 12 Months)

2-leg accas: - Placed: 89 - Won: 35 (39.3%) - Average odds: 3.80 - ROI: +11.2%

3-leg accas: - Placed: 54 - Won: 12 (22.2%) - Average odds: 7.50 - ROI: +3.8%

4+ leg accas: - Placed: 62 - Won: 4 (6.5%) - Average odds: 15+ - ROI: -34%

The data speaks for itself. 2-3 legs = profit. 4+ legs = loss.
